So, you have set a date for your breast augmentation. Now, it is time to start prepping for the big day. While there are many things you need to do, from bloodwork to eating healthy, one aspect that is often overlooked is the hospital bag. So, what things should you pack for your breast augmentation day of surgery?
-
Comfy Clothes
After any surgery, comfort is key. We suggest that you bring a loose top that buttons up or has a zipper closure. Pants should be stretchy and easy to get on and off. Shoes should not have heels and need to be easy to slip your feet into and out of. If you have long hair, bring hair ties. And don’t forget the socks and underwear!
As for a bra, you will have a specific garment to wear to help get the best results from surgery.
-
A Bowl for the Road
Pack the comfiest clothes possible, and ensure your shirt opens in the front to make it easier to get dressed.
Sometimes, clients feel sick to their stomach after surgery. This can be due to general anesthesia, pain meds or just the stress on the body from surgery. Bring along a bowl or other container you are happy to toss out just in case you get sick on the drive home.
-
A Water Bottle
This is another item for your drive home. It is normal to feel very thirsty after waking up from surgery since you have to abstain from food and water for several hours before the procedure. Have a full water bottle on hand to stay comfortable on the trip home.
-
A Blanket and Pillow
Don’t worry; we will provide these to you while you are at the surgical center. However, once again, you need to think about the trip home. A blanket can help with the chills you might experience post-surgery while the pillow will let your position yourself better.
