Consider Your Overall Shape
Before you can determine what size and profile is best, you have to consider your overall shape and what your goals are. Most people seeking implants want their body to be in better balance, matching the width of their breasts roughly to that of their hips, and helping their side profile look curvier.
Ultimately, the best breast implant size is highly individual. Implants should typically bring the body into balance rather than stand out on their own, but this depends on your goals.
Understand Sizing
Patients tend to head into their consultation with a specific cup size in mind. However, breast implants aren’t measured this way. Instead, they come in a variety of CCs — cubic centimeters. Every 150 to 200 CCs will increase the breast size somewhere in the range of one to two cup sizes. Given that cup size is not a standardized unit of measurement, it is not reliable when talking about breast implant sizing. Luckily, you can get a good feel for what is best by using implant sizers.
Think About Profile and Shape
Size is just one part of the equation. You also need to consider the profile and shape of the implant. Profile refers to how wide the implant is and how far it projects out from the chest wall. In general, the smaller the width, the greater the projection. As far as shape, there are round implants and tear-drop implants. Which one is best depends on how natural you want your new look to be.
