What to Expect
Your surgeon will first numb the buttocks area to maximize your comfort. After the injection site is cleaned, your surgeon will inject Sculptra directly into your backside. This dermal filler stimulates the body’s own production of collagen, and it works best when administered in a series of treatments.
Although you will notice immediate results after your first session, 2 to 4 treatments spaced 3 weeks apart are recommended for an optimal outcome.
As the injection promotes collagen growth, the buttocks’ contours, firmness and skin tone will improve, and you may also notice a subtle lift. Some people also see a slight reduction in the appearance of cellulite in the treated area.

Recovery and Results
Because this is a nonsurgical procedure, there’s no recovery time involved. There may be some slight bruising, which should resolve in 1 to 2 weeks. The results will typically last between 2 to 5 years, as the resulting collagen naturally breaks down over time and with age.
Many people find that having a touch-up Sculptra treatment every few years can help them to enjoy longer-lasting results.
